  1. I linked the picture book A Day's Work because I love using picture books to introduce themes, and A Day's Work would be a great introduction for middle grade kids to either the topic of immigration or the topic of learning from our elders.

  2. I especially like Thug Notes, and Picture This from my list. Both can be used in the classroom and take an alternative approach to looking at things!
